Library

It is our goal at Valor Christian Academy to instill a love of reading in our students – for the sheer pleasure of enjoying a good book, to equip them with information, and to have a passion for the Word of God.

Students in Preschool (starting in our 3-year-old class) through 5th grade visit the library once a week and spend time with our librarian listening to stories, learning how libraries work, and checking out books.

During library time students are introduced to a variety of literary topics, authors, genres, and the Dewey Decimal System. At Valor we take a special interest in having a variety of fiction and nonfiction texts, including Christian-themed books that reflect a Biblical worldview.

Each year the library hosts two book fairs, offering families a great opportunity to stock up on terrific titles for their children.

During “I Love to Read Month,” we provide a variety of fun book-related activities: Special reading challenges created by our librarian; Storybook Dress Up Day; and Grab a Lunch, Read a Bunch, a day in which parents enjoy picnic lunches and a story with their children at Fulton Playfield.

At Valor Christian Academy, we love to read!
